Never shy to invest, we now have a new delivery vehicle

And here it is, a brand new Fiat Ducato Dropside Maxi with a whopping 4.2m loading platform and capable of carrying a hefty 1500kg.

Since the introduction of the CPC applicable to all goods vehicles with a GVW of 3500kg and over along with the strict 6 week safety checks etc, after much deliberation we decided to  say goodbye to our faithful 7.5ton curtainsider.

Looking at what suited us best, it was important we could carry our most popular machines which are the sliding table panel saws and the Genisis 512S edge banders to allow us to offer a timed delivery and commissioning service to minimise any disruption within our customers busy working environment. Looking at options available to us, we also wanted (if required) to add a tail lift for smaller deliveries which would account for around 300Kg of the truck's carrying capacity, yet we still wanted to be able to carry around 1200kg. With these limitations we were left with a choice of just 3 vehicles, the winner in our opinon was the one which gave the best payload and the best MPG....oh and the one we felt offered the best value for money :-)

 The truck was actually purchased in November of last year and has proved its worth many times over, both being a fraction of the cost to run  and enabling us to pass on these savings to our customers along with the fact that we can truly offer a dedicated and timed delivery service to anyone who chooses us as their supplier.
