Incuded in this delivery is a 'made to measure' CNC panel saw along with a number of our heavy duty 'X' type machines.
W12....thank you for visiting us...
On display we had the Genisis P32 and X2 sliding table panel saws which customers could get a feel for what the different machines offered. There were many positive comments in particular regarding 'how smooth' the sliding table was and the general feeling of quality about the machines. We also had the pleasure of meeting a number of clients who had already purchased these machines and dropped by to say hello and to keep in touch. The Genisis P32 which was on display was sold and has now been delivered and commissioned ironically to a local company.
Also on display was the Hofmann TFS 107 making it's first debut at a UK exhibition and which stimulated alot of interest in particular to the 'high end' furniture makers who were looking for a heavy duty machine with fast and accurate settings to both the spindle and fence assembly. The machine has a powerful 10Hp motor and motorised raise lower and tilting of the spindle by 45 degrees in both directions. The operating elements were mounted in a control panel at eye level for ease of use and there were LCD displays to the position of the spindle height and tilt. The machine on display had a generous 2050mm cast iron bed with telescopic lateral support rail for when machining panels or doors. The ultra heavy duty fence assembly showed the quick adjustment by handwheel with LCD display incorporating both absolute and incremental features. Also fitted were the popular Aigner infeed and outfeed fences 650mm long.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the Genisis E55 briquetting machine which was shown working and demonstrated throughout the show. Many visitors commented on 'how solid' the briquettes were formed in comparison to other machines being demonstrated. All our briquette machines are fitted with a Siemens colour touch screen interface and Siemens PLC. All have the cylindrical hopper to ensure full agitation of the load, vision panel as standard and load sensor to allow the machine to work in an automatic cycle.
Also making their debut at a UK exhibition was the new range of bench top hinge drilling machines available as a manually operated machine and ideal for taking out on site or the workshop version with pneumatic clamping and operation via footpedal. Unique to the range is the Scorpion machine which is a boring machine with 3 heads specifically for pre drilling for cam and dowel.
On the Kundig stand, there was also alot of activity for the duration of the show in particular on the Sunday when it was almost like a special 'Kundig Club' day with many existing customers popping over to say hello and to express their delight with their machines. On display were the Basiq, Uniq and Uniq-S edge sanding machines which generated alot of interest.
The wide belts sanders on display also generated alot of interest with many people asking for demonstrations (Kundig are one of the very few companies that show their sanding machines working at exhibitions), the reason for this is so we can show how easy they are to use for different applications and of course to display the quality of finish you get with a Kundig. The 2 wide belt machines shown were the popular Premium-2 1100 RP machine having dedicated contact roller followed by a finishing pad and the Kundig Brilliant-2 1350.
There were also a number of in depth discussions in particular with fine furniture makers regarding the Kundig Brilliant machine which was shown to be de-nibbing lacquer. The machine displayed was the Kundig Brilliant-2 REd-L which has proved to be one of the most popular choices for funiture and cabinet makers as it is a true 'all rounder' .The machine has a dedicated calibrating roller followed by a second electronic sanding head suitable for both veneer sanding and on this machine for lacquer sanding. With veneers being sliced thinner and thinner the accuracy of a sander has become more and more important. Where any lacquer sanding or any very fine sanding is involved, the quality of finish to the surface is of the paramount importance and this is exactly where the Brilliant sanding head comes into its own. It is truly a unique system with very basic principles that eliminates the inherent flaws associated with traditional sanding machines.
