Trenching in Shrewsbury...

The Loft Stairs Company based in Shrewsbury specialise in the manufacture of easy access loft systems which enable the utilisation of what is probably one of the largest open and unused spaces in todays houses.

Run under the direct guidance of proprieter Mr Mike Herity,the company have designed and manufacture a cost effective and space saving solution for those looking at taking advantage of this additional storage space.

In their busy workshop,it was decided that instead of buying in some of the components used in the manufacture of the loft stairs, it would be advantageous both financially and to have the facility to manufacture 'in house' the capability of trenching out the stair string to accept the stair treads. The ideal machine would have to be accurate, both safe and easy to use and would need the capability of cutting a trench across multiple strings in a single operation to keep up with increasing customer demand.

Having already purchased from us, we were more than pleased to assist with their requirements and sourced the Graule QNF trenching and notching machine. The machine is of German construction and is complete with horizontal pneumatic clamping along with a hydro check to the travel of the cutter head to eliminate the possibility of 'snatch' taking place as the cutter enters the timber.
