W16 been and gone.....

After months of hard work and planning, ordering the space, the electrics, the compressed air, the carpet, the accomodation, the people to set up and 'man' the stand, the machines to display, the transport etc etc...here's a quick insight as to what we do...

Machines packed and ready.....

And we're off....2 x 40 ft wagons booked along with a 3.5t Luton box van for the fittings...

Oh heck.....it's Thursday afternoon and the show starts on Sunday morning....will we make it on time..?

We certainly did...dust extraction installed to the Kundig sanders and edge bander, electrics and compressed air connected to the machines....all installed and ready to go....

The results...? In truth....the results are not about the actual event but what happens over the next 2 years...however it is always nice to take orders 'on the day' which included the Genisis E60 Super Vertical briquetting machine, the Genisis P32 sliding table panel saw, the Genisis 512S edge bander and the Kundig Brilliant-2 1350 REd-L...plus a book full of enquiries to be working on....so, W18 here we come...!

Oh....and by the way.....as part of our commitment to assisting in good safe working practices we were one of the official sponsors of the W16 'W Challenge' machining competition where 4 of the Uk's most talented apprenticeship finalists from around the country was tasked to make a piece of furniture over the 4 days of the exhibition. Our contribution was the loaning of a new Sedgwick TESH 3 head tenoning machine to be used at will during the course of this event.
