Creating new kitchens with Creative Kitchen Design

Burscough based Creative Kitchen Design (CKD) are an established company who have been designing, supplying and installing kitchens for many years. Serving the local area of Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire, the company have a dedicated showroom where potential clients can take a leisurely browse at the different styles of kitchens available.

In 2012, it became apparent that CKD needed to open their own manufacturing facility to enable them to create the quality bespoke kitchen packages for which they had become synonomous.

Upon approaching a number of woodworking machinery dealerships and even looking at second hand machinery options, over the course of a number of months CKD researched the market carefully and assessed all options open to them.

As a company with a long term view the decision was made not only to invest in all new machinery but machinery of a certain quality and calibre to cater for future needs. Also important for any company looking towards the future is the choice of supplier, how long they have been established, how long they have been selling each brand, are the brands offered from established manufacturers, ability to be looked after in the long term etc.

In August 2012, following a site survey and discussions regarding a proposed factory layout plan, we were pleased to have the order confirmed for the complete supply for the new factory of machinery which included;

  • New Genisis X3 Plus CNC sliding table panel saw with colour touch screen control mounted in an over head control panel
  • New Masterwod hot melt edge banding machine capable of applying standard and upto 3mm PVC tape, having end trim by sawblade, top and bottom flush trimmers, scrapers and buffing.
  • New Kreg secret screw machine for carcass assembly
  • New Genisis Cormorant contour edge bander for applying 2mm PVC to shelves etc
  • New Genisis Dolphin edge trimmer to compliment the Genisis Cormorant
  • New Genisis Scorpion for the pre drilling of mini fix
  • New Compressor and dust extraction

All machines were scheduled for delivery collectively and commissioned just 6 weeks after being ordered.
